OUR JOURNEY

in 2022, on his way to the greek islands, david visits athens and instantly is taken with the vibrant energy unique to the city.

in 2023 a site in borough market is secured, intended for a greek island-inspired space named OMA. the size of the building, however, lends itself to two concepts in one. AGORA is born, an athenian inspired counterpart to the island serenity of OMA, intended for the ground floor - merging seamlessly with the market streets beyond.

countless more trips are made to athens, gaining friends and inspiration on the way. with the help of athenian design agency, ogust, the branding for AGORA comes to life.

april 2024. AGORA opens its doors to borough market.

by the december of its first year, AGORA has been awarded squaremeal’s Best New Opening 2024, the Infatuation’s Readers’ Choice Award for Best New Opening 2024, and Hot Dinner’s Best New Restaurant 2024 [ shared with OMA ].
